Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, professional, and enthusiastic Real Estate Paralegal with a strong background in residential real estate. The ideal candidate will excel in communication, client service, and follow-up, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail. This role is key to maintaining the high standard of service the firm’s clients expect and deserve.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough property searches and gather relevant information with precision.
- Prepare and manage comprehensive real estate files, including conveyancing and mortgage documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, lenders, condominium managers, law firms, and other parties, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
- Collaborate closely with the supervising lawyer to support the smooth progression of real estate transactions.
- Prepare detailed and accurate reports for clients and lenders, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of any issues.
- Assist the team by performing additional duties as needed and maintaining a cooperative and supportive work environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years’ experience handling residential real estate transactions.
- Proficiency in real estate management software such as PROLEGIS or similar platforms.
- Experience with legal accounting software, including Unity Accounting, is an asset.
- Familiarity with the SPIN system is an advantage.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality client service with effective follow-up.
- Ability to work independently with a proactive mindset, as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a creative and practical approach.
- A Legal Assistant Diploma from a recognized institution is preferred but not required.
