Our client, a custom home builder, is seeking an experienced Senior Site Superintendent to oversee on-site operations for their high-end, bespoke home projects. This role is critical in managing complex construction activities, driving excellence in craftsmanship, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. As a senior leader, you will take ownership of site operations, mentor teams, and foster a collaborative environment to exceed client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Leadership and Oversight: Lead and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring seamless coordination among trades, subcontractors, and suppliers. Oversee project scheduling, material deliveries, and site readiness to achieve milestones efficiently.
Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute strategies to optimize workflow and resource allocation. Anticipate project needs and proactively address challenges to ensure successful outcomes for complex, custom home builds.
Safety and Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to OSHA and company safety standards, conducting regular site inspections to mitigate risks and promote a safe work environment. Implement safety programs and provide training to ensure compliance across all site activities.
Quality Assurance and Control: Ensure meticulous attention to detail in every phase of construction, maintaining adherence to design specifications, client expectations, and quality benchmarks. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential quality issues promptly.
Client and Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients, architects, and designers. Provide comprehensive project updates, address inquiries, and foster trust through clear and proactive communication.
Problem Solving and Risk Management: Address and resolve on-site challenges, including technical, logistical, and scheduling issues. Develop contingency plans and lead efforts to mitigate potential risks, ensuring minimal disruptions to the project timeline.
Scheduling and Critical Path Management: Oversee project timelines, identifying critical path activities and implementing corrective measures when delays occur. Ensure trades and subcontractors remain aligned with project priorities and deadlines.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and organized records of on-site activities, inspections, and project milestones. Prepare detailed daily logs, progress reports, and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
Mentorship and Team Development: Provide leadership and guidance to site teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Mentor junior staff to build strong, cohesive teams.
