An ecommerce company is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to oversee financial operations, focusing on billing, accounts payable & receivable, and financial reporting. This role offers potential for career growth into leadership. Minimum of 10+ years of accounting experience, preferably within an eCommerce or retail environment and strong background in accounts receivable management, including collections and reconciliation are required. Oversee invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliations to ensure all financial records are accurate and up to date. Focus heavily on accounts receivable, ensuring timely collections, resolving outstanding balances, and maintaining positive relationships with customers. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, prepare financial statements, assist with audits, and support budgeting and forecasting processes. Identify opportunities to improve financial workflows and efficiency, with the potential to take on greater leadership responsibilities over time. Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance with industry regulations. Strong experience managing customer billing, vendor payments, and collections to maintain smooth cash flow. Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and implement solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency. Skilled in using accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel for financial tracking and reporting. 10+ years of experience in accounting. Background in e-commerce or retail accounting preferred. Ability to work independently and within a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
