A leading healthcare company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Director of Accounts Payable to oversee all aspects of the A/P function.

This leadership role is responsible for managing a high-volume payables operation, ensuring timely and accurate payments, optimizing systems, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and internal financial standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in accounts payable, a track record of improving processes, and strong leadership capabilities within a healthcare or similarly complex environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the full accounts payable process, including invoice processing, vendor payments, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Oversee AP team operations, providing guidance, training, and performance management to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Implement process improvements and financial controls to strengthen AP operations and support organizational growth.
  • Collaborate with finance, procurement, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Skills:
  • Extensive experience managing high-volume AP operations, with a deep understanding of systems, workflows, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams, ensuring a high standard of performance and accountability.
  • Proven ability to assess and enhance AP processes, driving efficiency, accuracy, and cost savings through automation or system upgrades.
  • Solid grasp of financial reporting, month-end close procedures, and integration with broader accounting functions.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in accounts payable, with at least 3 years in a leadership or director-level role.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry or another highly regulated sector preferred.
