A maintenance company in Williamsburg is seeking a Head of Accounts Receivable to oversee and manage the accounts receivable department. This leadership role ensures timely collection of outstanding invoices, efficient management of customer accounts, and the development of strategies to minimize bad debt. The Head of Accounts Receivable will collaborate closely with other departments such as sales, customer service, and finance to maintain healthy cash flow and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong analytical skills, leadership, and the ability to drive results while maintaining accuracy and efficiency in all receivables-related processes. Responsibilities include: Lead and manage the accounts receivable team, ensuring the timely processing of invoices, payment collections, and resolution of customer account issues. Establish and refine processes for follow-ups, collections, and dispute resolution to minimize overdue accounts and reduce the risk of bad debt. Ensure all accounts receivable transactions are accurately recorded in the accounting system, and provide reports on aging, cash flow forecasts, and outstanding balances to senior management. Work closely with sales, customer service, and operations teams to resolve customer issues, streamline billing processes, and improve overall customer satisfaction related to receivables. Skills required: Strong ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring efficient operations. Proficiency in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and creating reports that provide actionable insights into accounts receivable performance. Skilled in resolving complex customer issues related to payment disputes, credit terms, and payment arrangements. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable or financial management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
