A large and expanding healthcare organization is seeking an experienced and highly professional Director of Operations to oversee the strategic and daily operations of three Article 31 mental health clinics.
This role requires deep knowledge of Article 31 regulations and the ability to manage both inpatient and outpatient services. The Director will report to a board of clinical and executive professionals and play a key role in guiding the organization's continued growth and service excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and operational oversight across all three clinics, ensuring compliance with Article 31 standards and high-quality care delivery.
- Collaborate with clinical directors, administrative leaders, and the board to drive strategic initiatives and support organizational expansion.
- Develop and implement systems and workflows that promote operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and continuity of care.
- Monitor budgets, staffing, and performance metrics across clinics, proactively addressing issues and optimizing resource allocation.
Skills:- Demonstrated ability to lead complex healthcare operations, balancing clinical needs with administrative demands in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
- In-depth understanding of Article 31 requirements, including documentation, audits, licensing, and quality assurance in New York State.
- Skilled at navigating high-level discussions with clinical boards and professionals while also clearly communicating expectations to frontline teams.
- Proven track record in scaling healthcare services or programs, with an eye toward sustainable expansion and system integration.
Requirements:- Minimum of 5–7 years of leadership experience in healthcare operations, with at least 3 years in a role involving Article 31 clinics.
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, or related field strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with both inpatient and outpatient program structures.
- Ability to travel between clinic sites as needed.
