Territory: Remote (Central to East) 

Job Description: Key Business Development Manager 

The Key Business Development Manager will build a sustainable base of business that meets and exceeds revenue and order intake objectives for agreed-upon accounts in their assigned territory through a tenacious focus on a sales process. In this role, you will be a driving force behind our clients' expanded sales initiative, leading new business growth across retail vertical markets (Grocery, Discount Department, Quick Serve Restaurants, Check Cashing, and other cash–handling customers). 

Responsibilities of this Role: 

  • S/he will be responsible for net new business (80%-90%). 
  • Work from home office and travel to customers when necessary.  
  • Develop new relationships, tactical prospecting, and ability to penetrate new accounts. 
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with multiple contacts throughout client's organizations and effectively utilize internal resources to ensure smooth delivery of products/ services and payment. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects to achieve commitment and results. 

Skills & Qualifications: 

  • The candidate must have a minimum of 5+ years solution-based sales experience including demonstrated sales experience within the retail market selling POS solutions, software, hardware, cash handling equipment, or other B2B situations. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required – BA or BS or relevant. 
  • Experience and understanding of retail information technology (IT) platform a plus. 
  • The candidate must have a “hunter mentality” with demonstrated success of penetrating tier 1 and upper tier 2 retail accounts and have high-level contact selling solutions and driving sales.
  • Possesses the ability to provide a solution-based selling approach (versus only product selling) to senior-level executives in the top end of the larger National Accounts Retail accounts across the US.
