An exciting opportunity exists for a proven new Business Development Manager to join a dynamic sales team with focus on selling innovative industry solutions leveraging our market leading position built on our established expertise in:

This role is responsible for the acquisition and development of strategic customers, by driving new business campaigns to engage with new prospects and sell targeted solutions, developed by our technology and industry experts.Experience within our core industries, and a strong network inside target accounts will be a definite advantage.

Expectations

The BDM will be responsible for

  • Managing the complete business development lifecycle from lead generation, through opportunity qualification, proposal creation and negotiation / close to ongoing account development
  • Working on strategic initiatives to execute ‘Go To Market’ campaigns
  • Developing and maintaining Account Plans and outlining how sales targets will be met
  • Building a pipeline to over deliver sales target
  • Delivering sales presentations and actively leading bids
  • Provision of insight into industry trends, priorities, challenges and market opportunity
  • Working with pre-sales, recruiting and delivery staff to drive a team driven outcome
  • Crafting presentations for senior executives and decision makers
  • Supporting proposal responses and drafting statements of work
  • Developing solutions for areas for potential investment and identifying how the company's services may bring value to clients

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has knowledge of industry trends and priority of areas for future investment
  • Has demonstrable expertise in driving business activity to a successful outcome, able to think outside of the box, but target driven and focused
  • Is hardworking, with exceptional presentation and communications skills
  • Has good team building and customer service skills that can help drive internal and client satisfaction
  • Has a solid personal network for opportunity generation and validation of solution fit to industry challenges
  • Has experience developing and/ or deploying technology solutions to address challenges and grow organizational capability

Non – Negotiable Requirements

  • Candidates must have an understanding of the local market and economy with local relationships
  • Candidates must have sold B2B in an outside sales role, meeting face to face with clients in the professional services industry/technology industry for a minimum of 5 years
  • Candidates must have grown a nascent territory
  • Candidates must have sold complex services or projects (the projects can be small $25-$50k or much larger) and should be used to a longer sales cycle (around 6 months)
