A well-established agriculture company is seeking a Product Seed Coordinator to join their team. As the Product Coordinator, you will be crucial in operating and supporting the company Product Management program. This newly created position is designed for someone detail-oriented, resourceful, and independent. You will manage seed product data to provide essential administrative and product management support.

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate cross-functional product advancements and collaborate with the commercial teams to support successful new product introductions.
• Maintain, optimize, and continue improving the global database of product specifications and project management planning, tracking, and reporting. This includes coordinating pre-commercial seed production, quality control, and inventory management to support product development.
• Work with breeding and seed production teams to manage seed availability for products at the development and market introduction stages.
• Utilize the company database for the product advancement process and maintenance of product information.
• Coordinate and establish three customer field day trials at the US station to track the product pipeline.
• Engage functional experts to bring their expertise and insight to decisions on feasibility and
• timelines.
• Administer oversight and course corrections throughout each phase of product development.
• Assess and analyze current processes, recommend improvements, and implement and track effectiveness.
• Follow control measures for exposure to hazardous materials or conditions.
• Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Educational Level and Experience:

• Must have BS degree in agriculture, agribusiness, plant sciences, horticulture, business administration, or a related field is often required. A Master’s degree in a relevant field can be an added advantage.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in the seed or plant breeder industry, preferably in a role involving product coordination, development, or marketing.
• Proven experience in managing projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closing, preferably with a certification in project management.

Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of product management methodologies, tools, and best practices is essential.
• Analytical mind to recognize and understand available technology to develop new products.
• Proficiency in using software applications to create and manage documents, spreadsheets, presentations, diagrams, mockups, etc. is necessary.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively, adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, multitask effectively, and interact with stakeholders to build rapport and trust.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of agricultural customers and the regional market dynamics of the seed industry.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Office, Outlook and SharePoint.
• Able to use essential computer software and perform analytical analysis to obtain the expected results.
• Knowledge of agricultural agronomics, plant nutrient requirements, irrigation scheduling, pest identification and management, and cultural operations.
