A grower - importer - marketer of fresh fruits and vegetables seeks a Warehouse Operations Coordinator to join their team. The Warehouse Operations Coordinator enables the organization to execute operational work plans effectively through timely and
accurate reporting and management of information. The role is primarily responsible for management of inventories of perishable goods, as well as maintaining records for the operations department, including repacking and consolidation.
The position functions as an effective link between operations and stakeholders in and out of the organization, including team members (across offices and departments), growers, material vendors, and service suppliers. The successful candidate is highly organized, possesses strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop an understanding of the US warehousing operations, the key players, and the scope of work by facility.
- Become familiar with the current season’s projections by grower, and their packaging needs.
- Coordinate between accounting, vendors, and the receivers on orders, deliveries, and claims.
- Filing, researching discrepancies, and troubleshooting orders.
- Daily communication and coordination with third party suppliers on orders.
- Communication with logistics suppliers / Sales group on pickup and delivery schedule.
- Provide repack coordination and administrative support, including entering repack charges and materials, tracking materials to/from repack, and coordinating between the warehouse, repack, and accounting.
- Familiarize self with fee schedules for the repack providers to ensure repack costs are accurately reflected in a timely fashion.
- Maintain positive working relationships with peers, copackers, and direct grower suppliers.
- Support with the development of work processes and standard operating procedures relating to warehouse and repack operations, purchases, and inventory control.
Education & Experience
- Associate’s degree in business, accounting, or a relevant field, or equitable work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a coordinating role with demonstrated, progressive responsibility.
- Experience working in the produce industry preferred.

Technology
- Proficient with use of MS office and other productivity apps (e.g., Ring Central, Zoom, WhatsApp)
- Skilled at using various technologies, including Windows or IOS-based PCs, tablets, and phones.
- Experience with Famous Software a plus.
Other
- Must be able to work in the U.S.
- After hours, night and weekend hours may be required as part of the job depending on scheduling.
- Able and willing to work half days on Saturdays. This position will also require work some evening and remote from home on evenings and weekends to answer questions from third party vendors.
- This position requires that you be able to work with a computer while sitting or standing, sometimes for extended periods.
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Able and willing to travel for work or training, with advanced notice and schedule to be negotiated between employee and Sr. Leadership.
- Must have reliable transportation.
