Strong growing supplier company is seeking a Business Development/Account Manager to join their Retail Sales team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and provides professional value-add sales communications and propositions to retail and grocery executives
- Source leads, develop contacts, establish, and maintain relationships with prospective retail and grocery customers to develop, generate, and expand sales revenue.
- Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry, researching, and analyzing sales options
- Provides solutions to customers based upon personalized perspective
- Develops sales presentations, delivers proposals, and manages the negotiation process
- Acts as the liaison for customers and internal teams during transition once sale is closed and moved to onboarding and implementation
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business
- Minimum 10 years prior direct fresh food sales including meats, dairy and/or produce experience
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with customers
- Proven ability to maintain high-closing sales ratios
- Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce
- Strong analytical and presentation skills
- Must be self-directed and able to work independently
- Positive, competitive, and confident personality with advanced persuasive and collaborative skills
- Able to reach a quick understanding of customer requirements, accurately interpret underlying needs, buying behavior, change drivers, influencers, and direction.
- Enhanced presentation, negotiation, and communication skills – both written & oral and confidence to use with all levels of internal and external management teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications
