Description:
- A very fast-growing, vertically integrated Grower/Packer/Shipper in the Southeast is in growth mode.
- This emerging company has had tremendous growth in the past year.
- Seeking experienced sales talent to spearhead sales of dry veg to all customer segments. (Retail, blue-chip wholesalers, foodservice, processors, etc.)
- Our client has a strong grower network throughout the Southeast and Midwest.
- Exciting, newly created opportunity with a company that’s grown over $60M in the last 2 years.
- This position is based in Southwest Florida, with relocation assistance available – if needed and will also consider a hybrid arrangement, DOE.
Position Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and manage new direct sales with new or underdeveloped customers.
- Prospect and develop new sales that grow volume and returns for commodities sold.
- Be point of contact for team and customers for product availability, pricing, quality, delivery, etc.
- Work closely with the team on pricing and inventory to meet sales goals.
- This role will require time spent in the Midwest during peak summer season, with travel and lodging fully provided.
Required Experience & Qualifications Include
- Successful sales background in fresh produce required. (Dry veg preferred)
- Successful direct sales track record with established customer contacts is required.
- Working knowledge of fresh market trends, swings and competition along with an understanding of fresh produce supply base, production, and operations.
- College degree (B.A. /B.S.) in related fields of study desired, or relevant experience in the produce industry.
