Assistant Director of Harvest

Responsibilities & Duties
Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Oversee grower relations and interactions; field calls from growers and communicate issues with Management.
  • Provide harvest history, pool returns, work up grower advances and relay harvest request to Field Management.
  • Maintain export compliance reports and work with all growers to attain the necessary back up for crop protection applications.
  • Maintain all compliance regarding harvest including ACP compliance and transportation documentation.
  • Responsible for daily receiving and verifying all fruit is correctly allocated to the correct grower, field, and lot number.
  • Review and ensure that all contractor bills are correct and are being charged to the correct grower, field, and lot number.
  • Review harvest charges prior to pool closings to ensure all charges are properly allocated.
  • Review all changes to the crop comparatives and track overall change by variety.
  • Provide weekly up to date trends showing projected final numbers for each variety while spot checking field estimates to support your hypothesis.
  • Provide growers with harvest information for government programs (CFAP).
  • Track all production, harvest, and packing costs to maintain a database to develop per carton pricing strategies for sales.
  • Maintain grower harvest and packing contracts to ensure they are all up to date and ensuring that all necessary information is included.
  • Maintain FLC and hauling contracts, ensuring all have up to date insurance and licensing.
  • Monitor fruit through production and comment back on Field Evaluation Log.
  • Coordinate and assist with special projects.
  • Ability to work as required to meet operational needs, which include starting mornings at company headquarters.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of farm management/leadership experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business or AG related fields
  • Bilingual in Spanish is required
  • Citrus experience is required
