Description: 

• A longstanding and well-respected fresh fruit Shipper/ Importer is in growth mode by expanding fruit categories and developing new sales customers.
• They’re adding new sales talent to manage current key retail customers for domestic and imported deciduous fruit categories. (Berries, citrus, stone fruit, etc.)
• This position is succession planning for long standing salespeople on their team that are retiring.
• Our client has exceptional employee satisfaction/retention, with most of their team being there over 20 years.

• This role is based in the greater Philadelphia /New Jersey area.

Required Experience & Qualifications Include

• Previous sales experience in related fruit categories strongly preferred. (Grapes, citrus, stone fruit, blueberries, kiwi, and/or apples)
• Established retail customer contacts with some experience both developing new business and strengthening existing relationships. (Wal-Mart, Costco, Kroger, Aldi, etc.)Thorough understanding of fresh fruit supply base, production, and operations.
• College degree (B.A. /B.S.) in related fields of study desired, or relevant experience in the produce industry.

The base salary the company may reasonably expect to pay for this role is $150,000 to $175,000. The actual salary for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s skills and experience. The base salary range does not include other compensation elements, which will compose the total compensation package, or other benefits available to the position.
