A fast-growing leading supplier of innovative packaging solutions is searching for a Business Development Manager to join their team. Our client is a well-funded company in high-growth mode. This position is a critical role serving the potted plant growers in the US. This is a remote-based opportunity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Increase revenue.
- Provide “Best of Class” account management both externally to the customer and internally.
- Grow the number of customers aligned with our client’s mission and marketing strategies.
- Forecasting and Inventory Management.
- Quarterly demand planning of stock inventories.
- Monthly monitoring of custom product inventories.
- Annual budgeting and monthly review of sales performance to plan.
- Trade Show participation.
- 20% to 40% travel depending on season.
- Key Performance Indicators: Dollar and Unit volume performance to budget; New Account Development; Inventory Management; Profitability.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Master’s Degree or other advanced education beneficial.
- 3 to 10 years of selling experience preferred in potted plant packaging solutions.
- Experience selling US potted plant growers a plus.
- Experience selling containers (glass, tin, ceramics, plastic, wood, and other) very beneficial.
- Experience working in a leading potted plant grower company beneficial.
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- Contemporary technological, analytical, forecasting, and reporting skills required.
