A well-established produce grower/shipper/packer is searching for a Sales Account Executive to join their team in Los Angeles. The Sales Account Executive will be responsible for managing assigned accounts while representing our clients’ unique values and providing exemplary customer service. In the broader role the Sales Account Executive will foster long-term relationships that support the growth of the overall business. Ongoing and daily tasks include entering orders, negotiating pricing, working cross functionally with internal departments to ensure fulfillment of customer needs, developing new business opportunities, and implement other assigned projects as communicated by manager.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Responsible for meeting established sales goals with an assigned portfolio of accounts.
- Manage customer daily orders through delivery.
- Monitor logistics of customers to ensure final delivery.
- Negotiate pricing, credits and ad opportunities.
- Identify and present new opportunities with existing and new customers.
- Keep abreast of market and commodity trends.
- Willingness to approach prospective clients through cold calling.
- Work cross functionally with supply chain team on contract opportunities.
- Collaborate with the accounting department to support reconciles on accounts.
- Travel for customer visits.
- Attend and actively participate in trade shows; execute follow-up.
- Collaborate with the team to produce reports for upper management.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a professional and respective manner, in accordance with company policies.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned to by manager.
- Support the day-to-day operation of the sales team, as needed.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years sales/account management experience with minimum 3 years’ experience of documented ability to achieve new business development revenue objective within a perishable food or agriculture background; organic agriculture preferred.
- Competent with MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel and Word; PowerPoint a plus.
- Bilingual (English/ Spanish)
- Ability to drive new business.
- Strong selling, communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent customer service standards.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work with diverse individuals both internally and externally.
- Inclination to work in a collaborative environment.
- Aptitude to independently follow-through on assigned projects; setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Engaging presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally to all levels of an organization; individually or in a group setting.
- Comfortable making group / corporate presentations.
- Open to learning and developing new skills.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task.
- Analytical and creative approach to problem solving.
- Strong computer skills; proficient in MS Office; capable of to learn and adapt to new computer systems and technology is required.
Compensation: 85K-125K, Commission, Bonus, Medical Benefits, 401K
