We are seeking an experienced, innovative and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead the people function and manage the HR department across a multi-faceted organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of talent management, employee development and retention, benefits, succession planning, organizational development, performance management, training, compensation, and culture.

We are looking for a person that can foster a high-performance culture and enhance employee engagement. This role requires a leader with a deep understanding of HR best practices, a proven ability to align HR strategies with business objectives, and be hands-on with all HR functions.

This position is based in the greater South West region of Florida. Relocation assistance can be available for the ideal candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's mission, vision, and long-term goals.
  • Talent Acquisition & Retention:
    Manage the workforce planning, succession management, oversee recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes; develop strategies to attract and retain top talent and help build a strong internal pipeline. Elevate the employer brand to attract top-tier talent and maintain a strong candidate experience.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement:
    Foster a positive work environment and open communication channels; manage employee relations and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Performance Management:
    Implement and maintain performance evaluation systems; provide coaching and development plans for employees.
  • Compensation & Benefits:
    Design and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain employees while managing costs in a multi-state environment
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    Ensure legal compliance with all applicable HR and labor laws and regulations; develop and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Learning & Development:
    Identify training needs and oversee programs that enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities. Help employees with Career Planning.
  • Organizational Development
    Help lead change management initiative, organizational effectiveness, and agility across business units and teams.
  • Payroll
    Responsible for payroll administration and third-party providers assessments to ensure they meet the company and employees’ needs.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making
    Use people analytics to inform strategy, measure outcomes, and support data-based decisions across the organization. Analyze HR metrics to measure effectiveness and efficiency of HR initiatives and provide regular reports to executive leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership HR or People Operations experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role
  • Proven success leading people strategy in high-growth, complex organizations
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to lead HR initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well with other SBU and complex Ownership Structure
  • Background working with multiple business entities, divisions, or regions a plus
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • Data analytics a plus
  • Bilingual (Spanish), desirable
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is highly desirable
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align people strategy with company goals
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • Experience driving transformation and leading through change

Working Conditions:

  • Predominantly in-office or on-site at least 3 days a week
  • Occasional travel will be required to visit other offices, recruiting, training, or company events
