About the Role

Seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Vice President of Sales to lead our commercial strategy and drive continued growth in the highly competitive fresh produce sector. This executive role requires a seasoned professional with 15–20 years of experience, including a proven track record managing portfolios in excess of $200 million in annual revenue.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in grapes, stone fruit, cherries, citrus, and kiwi, and has built strong, lasting relationships with major U.S. retailers. This role demands an agile leader with exceptional commercial instincts, strategic vision, and the ability to execute flawlessly in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute national sales strategy across multiple fresh produce categories, ensuring revenue, margin, and service goals are met or exceeded.
  • Develop and maintain high-impact partnerships with top-tier retail customers and wholesalers.
  • Manage a high-performing sales team with an emphasis on mentorship, accountability, and performance.
  • Drive innovation in sales approaches, pricing strategy, promotional execution, and customer service.
  • Analyze and respond to market trends, competitive threats, and supply chain dynamics.
  • Collaborate with operations, sourcing, and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution from field to shelf.
  • Own forecasting and planning processes to support operational alignment and business growth.
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows to enhance market visibility and build strategic relationships.

Qualifications

  • 15–20 years of progressive sales leadership experience in the fresh produce industry, with a strong focus on high-value commodities.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow business portfolios over $200MM in annual revenue.
  • Established relationships with major U.S. retailers, with a record of consistent sales execution and growth.
  • Deep understanding of produce supply chains, seasonal cycles, and category management.
  • Strong leadership presence with a proactive, hands-on management style.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically as needed to support customers and teams.
