Growing produce company is seeking an experienced Director of Sales that is talented in leading a dynamic fast paced sales office /operations in the Fresh Produce Industry. This position will lead a sales team, sales operations, business development, and logistics activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide the professional leadership in today’s fast paced working environment to maintain current sales, and create additional business for company’s continued growth.

• Provide the necessary customer service and innovative business vision for increasing current well-established business developed over previous years.

• Provide mentoring and coaching for our current sales professionals.

• Work collaboratively with our current sales team and executive leadership to create sales plans and business development via multiple distribution channels, ie…retail, wholesale, foodservice, etc.….

• Create sales goals and manage expectations to ensure maximum productivity and profitability is reached by each sales team member.

• Research and communicate market trends with the sales team and set daily sales expectations.

• Oversight of day-to-day logistics and operations for the sales and delivery of all products.

• Work collaboratively with sales team and accounting department to meet all financial expectations of the company’s expectations.

• Work collaboratively with Human Resources (HR) regarding staff additions to meet sales growth forecasts, provide competitive industry compensation, job description creation, as company searches and acquires the necessary talented individuals for business growth.

• Trade show management: identify appropriate tradeshows and manage all logistics for company’s exposition.

Requirements

• 5 years+ of fresh produce sales experience with a proven track record in Business development

• 3 years+ management experience

• Highly motivated self-starter, with a passion customer service

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Able to think strategically, analytically and creatively

• Able to thrive in an agile and results oriented environment

• Manage team members with respect and gain their trust

• High physical and intellectual energy and sense of urgency

• Unquestioned honesty and integrity

• Flexible, straightforward, with a strong work ethic

Compensation:
