A well-established Produce Company is searching for an HR Manager to join their team in Texas. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in employee development, compliance, onboarding, and benefits management while promoting a culture of mentorship and continuous growth. This position plays a vital role in aligning HR initiatives with the company’s vision, mission, and core values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with department leaders to develop employee training and career growth plans tailored to role-specific and company-wide goals.
- Design and implement mentorship programs to nurture internal talent and leadership development.
- Lead efforts in creating efficient, engaging, and scalable employee orientation and onboarding procedures.
- Manage employee relations by identifying potential issues and proactively resolving them.
- Administer and ensure compliance with all employment-related laws and company policies.
- Provide support in recruitment, screening, and placement of qualified candidates.
- Develop and deliver targeted training for employees and management teams, including mandatory and skill-based programs.
- Maintain strict confidentiality while managing sensitive employee matters.
- Proactively identify areas for improving HR services, workplace environment, and internal processes.
- Serve as the lead for the Benefits Department, including oversight of employee benefits administration and vendor coordination.
- Collaborate with legal and regulatory consultants on employment matters as needed.
- Maintain HR professionalism while balancing business needs with employee advocacy.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution environments.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local HR regulations and practices.
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing employee development and mentorship programs.
- Experience managing benefits programs and collaborating with payroll teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of an organization.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
- Experience in agriculture preferred.
Salary: 75-85K, Medical Benefits, 401K
