We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Sales Engineer with a specialized focus on Ag-Input experience to join our team. As the Director of Sales Engineer - Ag-Input, you will be responsible for leading our technical sales team, providing expert guidance on our products, and driving sales strategies to promote our innovative data-driven solutions in the agricultural industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate a team of sales engineers specialized in promoting the company’s innovative device to support companies in the ag-input industry.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on the products, including precision agriculture technologies, data analytics, and decision support tools. Thoroughly understand the features, benefits, and applications of our product features to effectively communicate their value to customers.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing leadership to develop comprehensive sales strategies and go-to-market plans for Ag-Input products. Identify target markets, customer segments, and key growth opportunities.
  • Engage with potential and existing customers to understand their specific needs, challenges, and pain points. Provide technical support, conduct product demonstrations, and offer customized solutions to showcase the benefits of the data-driven Ag-Input offerings.
  • Deliver compelling and persuasive presentations to customers, distributors, and industry stakeholders. Conduct regular training sessions for the sales team to enhance their product knowledge and selling skills.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer demands in the Ag-Input sector. Utilize market insights to adapt sales strategies and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate closely with the research and development team to communicate customer feedback and insights for continuous product improvement and innovation. Work in tandem with the marketing team to ensure effective product positioning and impactful promotional materials.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, including revenue, market share, and customer feedback. Utilize data-driven insights to identify opportunities for growth and refine sales approaches.
  • Develop and manage the sales team budget, ensuring prudent allocation of resources. Generate accurate sales forecasts and revenue projections for Ag-Input products.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Agribusiness, or a related field.
  • Proven track record (at least 5-7 years) in technical sales within the agricultural industry, with a strong focus on Ag-Input products.
  • In-depth understanding of Ag-Input products, precision agriculture technologies, data analytics, and their applications in diverse crops.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing and motivating sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the capacity to leverage data for strategic decision-making.
