Description:
- A fast growing and vertically integrated Mexican Grower/Shipper/Importer seeks an accomplished sales pro and business leader.
- This role will focus on developing and managing direct sales (retail strongly preferred) as well as building a U.S. sales & support team.
- The sales focus for this role is with Mexican grown avocados and mangos.
- This company has a large volume of premium produce and has been in operation for over a decade.
- Their produce is already in retailers through other shippers. This position will spearhead direct sales.
- This position can be remote based, with regular business travel as needed.
Required Experience & Qualifications Include
Sales & Business Development
- Successful sales track record developing and managing contracted retail sales programs.
- Demonstrated ability to generate sales revenue quickly. (90 – 180 days)
- Experience managing national & regional accounts, achieving multi-million-dollar sales targets; growing year-over-year.
- Established relationships with retail buyers (e.g., Walmart, Kroger, H-E-B, Whole Foods, etc.) as well as connections with wholesalers, distributors and foodservice accounts.
- Skilled in developing and executing go-to-market strategies.
Leadership
- Ability to build and lead a commercial team from zero.
- Experience building and leading high-performing sales teams and align commercial efforts with operations and logistics.
Additional
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as needed for business demands.
- Bilingual in Spanish would be very helpful but not required.
- College degree (B.A. /B.S.) in related fields of study preferred or relevant job history.
