An established food manufacturer is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Director of Operations to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of their organization. The Director of Operations will play a key role in driving the success of the company and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, including production, logistics, quality control, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all day-to-day operations of the organization, including production, logistics, quality control, and inventory management
  • Monitor and evaluate the productivity and efficiency of all departments and employees, and take action to improve performance as needed
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve overall performance and efficiency
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that all aspects of the business are working together effectively
  • Communicate effectively with all employees and stakeholders to ensure that everyone is aware of their responsibilities and expectations
  • Stay informed of new developments in industry best practices and implement them as appropriate
  • Continuously evaluate and improve processes, procedures, and systems to increase efficiency, productivity, and profitability
  • Create and analyze complex reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, to measure the effectiveness of operations and make data-driven decisions
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, Food Security, Food Safety and Primus GFS1 standards and regulations to minimize risk and maintain a high level of food safety and security.
  • Serve as a liaison between the management team and the employees and communicate any concerns or issues that arise to the appropriate parties

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management or related field
  • Fluent in Spanish- preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role- preferably with food/produce manufacturing experience
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to follow up and follow through on tasks and projects
  • Excellent Excel skills and experience creating and analyzing complex reports, including KPI and metrics analysis
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices
