Strong, growing produce company seeking Sales and Procurement Representative, who will play a critical role in managing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting the procurement of fruit as necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
  • Stay current with market trends, industry developments, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create tailored solutions for customer requirements, including logistics coordination.
  • Manage the end-to-end customer experience, from logistics to a basic understanding of accounting processes.
  • Provide customers with updates on crop conditions, market fluctuations, and product availability.
  • Support fruit procurement efforts with a focus on commodities such as apples, strawberries, and citrus.
  • Issue and manage RFQs (Request for Quotes) as part of the procurement process.
  • Participate in occasional travel for customer meetings, supplier visits, and trade shows.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; relevant experience in agriculture or sales is strongly considered.
  • Experience in or willingness to learn about commodity procurement across a range of products.
  • Strong relationship management skills and a proven ability to meet customer needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in technology, with the ability to quickly learn sales tools, order management systems, and EDI platforms.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a focus on achieving mutually beneficial outcomes in both sales and procurement.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering results.

Compensation: $70,000-$100,000 DOE
