Position Overview:

• A global leader in fresh produce seeks an accomplished Import Salesperson for their expanding team.
• This role will spearhead retail sales efforts for one of the largest citrus programs in North America.
• Our client is a year-round supplier for their categories and is highly regarded among retailers.
• While this role’s focus is citrus, sales opportunities are also available for the company’s entire deciduous offerings.
• This organization has a very strong brand, product line and industry reputation.
• This company is vertically integrated, with a state-of-the-art Packing/Cold Storage facility on the East Coast.
• This role is based in the greater Philadelphia area. (with relocation assistance available).

Required Experience & Qualifications Include

• 10+ years of Citrus sales experience. (grapes or other deciduous experience also welcomed)
• Strong experience/established relationships with retail customers.
• Previous experience interfacing with growers preferred, as their top salespeople manage respective commodities.
• Knowledge of international fruit growing regions, quality characteristics and issues, shelf life, shipping & handling characteristics, import supply chain, pack styles.
  
• College degree (B.A. /B.S.) in related fields of study preferred or relevant professional experience.
