Department: Operations Reports to: Plant Manager

Direct reports: Supervisor(s), Line Workers, and Lab Manager

 

Essential Functions:

 

Assist Plant Manager in implementing Lean manufacturing, Plant and workflow improvements.

Setting up and controlling pre-production kitting processes (check for BOM discrepancies).

Responsible for taking daily production counts, collecting production data, compiling, and accurately updating manufacturing ERP system.

Collect other production related data and produce daily, weekly, and monthly Schedules, as needed.

Maintain all paperwork and databases in real time.

Responsible for performing new and updating existing production times studies.

Assist Plant Manager in ensuring OSHA compliance.

Running the monthly Safety training (videos and classes).

Project Management planning with Plant Manager, creating and updating matrix with owners and completion dates

Auditing daily, weekly, and monthly housekeeping and safety program and ensure OHSA compliance.

Assist Plant Manager in documenting all work functions and developing manufacturing SOP manuals and creating detailed work instructions for all functions.

Maintain daily, raw materials, WIP, and Finished Goods inventories.

Bi-weekly inventory and procurement of expense items to be ordered.

Conduct a weekly Cycle Count.

Assist Plant Manager in conducting accurate physical inventory of Raw, WIP and FG’s as necessary.

Assist Supervisors and Plant Manager in ordering and maintaining the flow of materials.

Assist Supervisors in training new and existing workers through the preparation of standard operating procedures and hands-on-training.

Qualifications/Required/Preferred Skills:

 

1-2 years’ working within production/manufacturing environment preferred. Excellent Computer and Software application Skills

Strong data compilation and analysis skills required.

Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Process improvement, time studies and data collection, preferred.

Lean manufacturing experience preferred. (1-2 years)

Detailed oriented with excellent follow-up.

Providing employees with expectation and accountability.

Workflow management experience required.

Intermediate knowledge of project management practices and tools required. (2-3 years)

Knowledge of safety laws and regulations/DEP and OSHA, required. (2-3 years)

Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, stress management, and negotiating skills, required.

Excellent internal and external customer service skills required.

Excellent planning, scheduling, prioritization, and time management skills, required.

Excellent active listening, verbal, and written communication skills required.

Highly organized and efficient, excellent at optimizing technology, required.

Associate degree in related field or 3 years equivalent experience, preferred.

 

 

 

Physical Demands:

Able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time and lift up to 75 lbs. Able to operate warehouse and shipping equipment, forklift, Hilo’s, and pallet ja
