Key FSE responsibilities include but not limited to:
Build positive Schaeffler relationships with customers by providing quality support.
Provide first line technical support to customers and sales team.
Troubleshoot application and equipment issues.
Technical training – bearing reliability, installation, lubrication, and products.
Provide on-site bearing inspections, failure analysis and reports.
Assist customers with bearing mounting and dismounting.
Support sales of Schaeffler products - bearings, tools, lubrication systems, condition monitoring equipment and services as member of field team.
Share and document critical customer bearing and application information with Schaeffler Industrial sales group, Industry Managers, and Product Line Managers.
Provide and log value-added services resulting in documented cost savings for customers.
Develop product expertise – ability to present product features for solving application issues.
Develop industry expertise – customer processes, equipment, and bearing applications.
Qualified FSE candidates will have:
Minimum 5 years maintenance or engineering experience in mining or similar heavy industry.
Independent and self-motivated with leadership abilities.
Ability to manage by influence.
Effective communicator – listens to understand, oral, written and presentation skills.
Computer skills – proficient in Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn use new software.
Willing and able to travel 50% overnight as needed to support Schaeffler customers and sales team.
