Conexus in partnership with a national Real Estate Investment company, is seeking a VP, Business Application. This is a Direct hire role for our client in Los Angeles, CA.

The VP, Business Applications (Accounting and Finance) will oversee and manage the financial systems, data sources and applications used by the Accounting and Finance teams. This role requires extensive experience in managing ERP systems, Treasury Management Systems, and financial reporting tools.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing business applications within the real estate sector, particularly for accounting and finance team

Responsibilities

• Oversee the administration and optimization of ERP, Treasury, AP and financial reporting applications.
• Automate data ingestion from internal and third-party sources, including third-party fund administrators.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Spearhead cross-functional initiatives relating to the accounting and finance functions.
• Support the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Provide ongoing support to business teams to ensure the maintenance of data quality and reliability

  Qualifications:

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in a leadership role within business applications or technology management, preferably in the real estate or financial services industry.
• Advanced knowledge of managing relational databases (SQL or similar), data governance strategies and data integration technologies (ETL, SOAP/REST API, etc.)
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is highly preferred.
• Strong administration experience in ERP (Yardi), TMS (Gtreasury/Kyriba), and financial reporting systems (Dfin/Workiva).
• Proven track record of successfully implementing technology solutions in support of business objectives.
• Passion for optimizing processes within the organization.
